Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine has been shown to be 100% effective in Asian clinical trials. However, there is a limit to reaching a meaningful conclusion because there are fewer test subjects.

The minutes of the Central Pharmaceutical Affairs Review Committee, released by the MFDS on the 7th, contain this information. The Central Pharmaceutical Affairs Review Committee meeting took place on the 13th of last month and it was approved on the 21st of the same month.

At the meeting, one participant asked, "Is it possible to submit comparative data on effects and abnormal cases between Asians and Westerners for reference to domestic inoculations, including 4.6% of Asians?" and the MFDS responded.
