There was no Rosuvastatin 2.5 mg available.Hanmi has started to create a new market by pushing for the approval of combination drug. The MFDS approved Hanmi's Suvast 2.5mg on the 17th. It is Rosuvastatin 2.5mg, which is not released in Korea.

It is used in primary hypercholesterol and complex hyperlipidemia. Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan recommends Rosuvastatin 2.5mg to Asians with smaller body types. According to indications of Suvast 2.5 mg, the recommended initial dose is 2.5 mg or 5 mg because of increased systemic exposure to Asian patients. Previously, if Rosuvastatin 5mg was used for initial dose, the drug choice that can be used with 2.5mg was increased.
