The National Evidence-based healthcare Collaborating Agency (President: Kwang Hyub Han) announced the amendments to the notice on the new health technology, ‘colorimetric assay’ for anti-Xa apixaban testing, that had been deliberated as a safe and effective health technology at the 10th MOHW New Health Technology Assessment Committee meeting in 2022.

The New Health Technology Assessment system was introduced in 2007 to assess the safety and clinical efficacy of new health technologies (acts of medical practice including treatment method, and testing method), and is implemented to prevent indiscriminate use of unverified medical technology and to protect the people's right to health.
