It is expected that domestic researchers will speed up the development of a new fibrosis treatment by uncovering the mechanism of action of Bersiporocin, which is being developed as a treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Yonsei University Professor Seong-Hoon Kim and Dr. Ina Yoon's research team conducted joint research with Professor Kwang-Yeon Hwang (Department of Biotechnology) of Korea University to identify the molecular mechanism that can explain the efficacy and safety of Bersiporocin at the same time.
