When taking anti-inflammatory drugs containing Esomeprazole and Naproxen, care must be taken to prevent the occurrence of interstitial renal tubulitis. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety recently prepared a change (draft) for permission based on the results of a review of safety information on formulations containing 'esomeprazole and naproxen' from the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
The analgesic is used for the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis in patients who are at risk of gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer associated with steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as naproxen) and who are not satisfied with low-dose Naproxen or other non-steroidal
