The hyperlipidemia combination ‘Vytorin (ezetimibe+ simvastatin) suffered a direct blow from the insurance price ceiling reevaluations conducted in Korea. As a result, only two companies were able to maintain the highest insurance ceiling price for their generics.

In particular, Genuone Sciences was the only company to maintain the highest ceiling price in the 10/10mg group.

According to industry sources, the price ceiling of Vytorin generics had been reduced for 60 of the items (21 10/10mg dosage forms and 28 10/20 dosage forms) as a result of the price ceiling reevaluations.

As a result, only Genuone Science’s Vyteb Tab was able to maintain its highest insurance ceiling
