The ruling party proposed legislation to reduce criminal liability for doctors embroiled in medical malpractice suits while providing essential health services, and for the state and local governments to support and foster essential healthcare personnel.

The legislation is in line with the Yoon Suk Yeol administration's policies to strengthen essential healthcare.
