¡ãThe Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) comments on the
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced that it would try to set the reasonably sized 'Payment for Benefits for relief of Injury from Side Effects of Drugs, (hereafter referred to as payment for benefits for relief) ' which is currently charged to pharmaceutical companies. MFDS' audit of the Korea Institute of Drug Safety and Risk Management (KIDS) indicated excessive charging of pharmaceutical companies. As the committee members of the Health and Welfare Committee of the National Assembly pointed out, MFDS seems to be promising to evaluate the appropriateness.
On August 27th, the MFDS announced such in a statement submitted after last week's plenary session.
