Kang said during the parliamentary audit by the Health and Welfare Committee, "We must lower the patient access hurdle and increase monitoring." Adding, "Especially because we evaluate high-cost drugs that have not completed phase 3 studies, copayment ratio needs to be adjusted to lower patient access hurdle for drugs that lack verification of effectiveness."

It means that the current 5% ratio needs to be increased for anticancer drugs lacking verification of effectiveness.
